A quick announcement from Hegemon
a note to subscribers
Today I’m launching paid subscriptions, so this is a one-time message to let you know. If you decide to remain a free subscriber, you are very welcome to do so. Periodic public posts will continue as before. If you enjoy what you’ve read so far, please consider subscribing to the paid version.
For $5 a month you will get subscriber-only posts, including “Office Hours” — a regular column where I talk about what I’m reading and watching, and answer any reader questions. Plus the full archive and access to the chat, where the conversation can continue between posts. (Commenting on free posts will always remain open.)
Many thanks to everyone who has already pledged a subscription. Your support has encouraged me to spend more time on the longer and more eclectic pieces I have planned for the coming months.
In the future I would love to add a subscribers-only “Primary Sources” column, where I dive into obscure academic books or government documents, and consider why they might be interesting to us at this moment.
Thanks for reading.
